Are you working for Merck?
North Wales is a nice little town, though it's not at all fancy, and there's not much to it. There's not too much going on there (but Tex-Mex Connection is a decent restaurant). North Wales is part of suburban Philadelphia, though it's somewhat hard to get to from the city (probably 40-80 minutes, depending how you go and when you leave). It's completely surrounded by suburban sprawl, and many of the surrounding areas tend to be more on the wealthy side (Upper Gwynedd Township, for example). It sits in a good school district.
What are you looking for in an area to move?

Thanks a lot !
We are planning to move to North wales, PA. Just wanted to find out the cost of living there. I don't know whether we should earn more than what we earn in Baltimore to maintain the same standard of living. What about apartments? Groceries? we recently got married and are pretty young . I tried to do Cost of living comparisions , but unfortunately North wales doesn't show up in the drop-down list. All they have is Phili, pitts and other stuff. So i was kind of worried that what kind of city is that... it doesn't even show up . I had my doubts. please let me if you know more. Do you live there? Is it safe there?

I don't live there, but I'm familiar with the area. It's not a city. It's a borough, which in PA is a type of municipality, similar to a town. It's very safe; don't even worry about that. There's plenty of shopping in the area. Plenty of apartments; check out Lansdale if North Wales does not show up. I'm not sure about cost of living; I think that might depend on where you livedin Baltimore. If you live in a gentrified neighborhood, then probably North Wales will be cheaper. Like I said above, it's part of suburban Philadelphia, so there's plenty of "stuff" nearby. There's actually also a decent mall about 5-10 minutes from North Wales (the Montgomery Mall). It's probably too small to show up on your cost of living calculator.
