Non Property Owner paying school taxes
Boyfriend lives in Pine Grove, Pa says he Has been paying taxes (school) for the past ten years but does not own property. Could this be correct???

He shouldn't be paying property taxes (directly, his rent to the landlord pays them). The school system might have a Personal Income Tax which he would pay as a resident.

His school district may have their own income tax (not sure if this was ever enacted), or a portion of his local income tax is collected for the school district. As far as property tax, he shouldn't be paying them, unless he's talking about a portion of his rent that the landlord collects and pays as property tax.

There's also a right to work/occupational privilege tax (could be called something else). Wonder if that's what he's paying instead of a school tax?
