Default PA Wilds suggestions?

Hi folks,

My extended family is pondering the PA Wilds region for a big family reunion next summer. We're an outdoorsy group, looking for everything from hiking, swimming, boating (motor and paddling), rock climbing, golf, etc. We have a wide age range too, from 3 to 70. Any suggestions for areas or towns that have good access to all that stuff, with stuff for kids to do too? Something lakeside would be ideal. I don't know the area at all, and welcome any suggestions.

Thanks!

Cook's Forest State Park on the Clarion River, or Clear Creek State Park nearby. Cabin rentals, both State and private, canoeing on the River, hiking in the Forest.

Up the road is Allegheny National Forest.

PA Wilds rings a bell of something wonderful from a former time. I believe that area is called The PA Fracking Region now.
