Hello... I'm a single mom looking to move out of NJ to PA.. preferrably Luzerne, Monroe, Schuykill or Carbon County which aren't too far from my family in NJ. I'm looking for a safe place to live, where I can raise my 8 year old. I'm not a city person, I would prefer more rural, although not exactly in the boonies where it takes 2 hours to find a Walmart Good schools and safe neighborhoods are my main concern. If anyone knows of any good towns to look into, please let me know! I appreciate your help in advance! Thanks.

You might want to check into Pike county area. Very rural...you get alot for your money and Delaware Valley and Wallenpaupack schools are excellent.

Crestwood school district in Mountaintop is very good (Luzerne county outside Wilkes-Barre) and it's a vey nice community with lots of NJ transplants.

Good luck!

Thanks so much... I looked into Mountain Top and it seems like a really nice place to live, and it's much closer than where I was originally looking.

I live in Luzerne County right now, and I'm at your service for any and all inquiries you might have about it. I live only 20 minutes north of Mountain Top.

Default thanks!

Thank You, ScrantonWilkesBarre! Sounds like you like the area you live in, I've driven out there a few times to see what it's like, actually have been to Mohegan Sun in Wilkes Barre a few times I'm sure I will think of TONS of questions for you!
