I heard Texas might really be the place to do this - what do you think?
Land might be cheaper in Texas. Drilling has shot up the price of land. Blocks of land are selling for at least $10,000 an acre the last I checked.

Forget it. Don't be fooled. Parts of Pennsylvania might look extremely rural, but the state government is a PITA overbearing Nanny that seeks to micromanage every aspect of your life. Prepare to pay a fee and get your lungs inspected every time you breath. This is the state where you have to put registration stickers on your dinky little kayak, and where "state dog wardens" come banging on your front door if you forget to register Fido one year. You think you can actually get away with "living off the grid" with an illegal outhouse toilet. Good luck with that. Try Alaska, still the last frontier.

Actually, he does. Everything he said is true. The state has even gone after the Amish for their lack of sewage facilities.
