The Franklin W. Knox House in Coudersport is the creepiest Victorian mansion I've ever seen. It looks just like a haunted house. Very decayed.

The Harry Packer Mansion in Jim Thorpe inspired Disney World's haunted mansion and they have murder mystery weekends.

Zindel Park on the north end of McElhattan is an abandoned park with a boarded up house and peculiar stone monuments. It is open to the public. There is not much to see but it is mildly interesting. The Restless Oaks estate owned by Henry W. Shoemaker is also located on the road leading to the park. Nothing is being done with his old house so it looks a little spooky.

Town and Gown, an early attempt at a local magazine published in State College c. 1965-75 by Barash Advertising, ran a feature on Centre County's ghosts sometime around 1968. These included a "stained" tombstone in a cemetery at Millheim (adjacent to Route 45) and a siren (the singing female type) who's said to have figured in the deaths of two pilots when Bellefonte was a stop on the first transcontinental air mail back in the 1920's. There were several other stories if you can locate a copy -- maybe at the Schlow or Pattee libraries.
