Default Info on Mount Joy area
Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me info. on the Mount Joy area of Lancaster. The real estate says there is a house there in my price range, but I'm not familiar with the area at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Barbara,

We are also considering a move to Lancaster County or possibly York County. I wish more people in this chat board would have replied to your post & my own posts on Lancaster & York. I have heard very good things about Mount Joy, yet i'm just going by what others tell me. I heard its Safe, clean, and affordable housing.

I did hear Manheim is very safe & nice as well.

I wish i could be of more help.

Hi Tony, I know what you mean. I guess visiting and staying in the area is the only way to find out for yourself. We have been traveling to Lancaster for years now, and love it. Though the longest we have stayed is 2 weeks. We are planning to retire there, but want to buy a house now......it's tuff though because I am not familiar with all the towns in the area.

Has anyone looked at the Khov 55+ in Mount Joy?

My wife and I did in August and while taxes were a little high ($4500) compared to NJ, I'm thinking that maybe it's the right move for us.
