Be careful in Shippensburg. It's a college town and they're usually a little nicer to live in but not so this time, it is still central PA. I've had personal experiences with some people from the town and I couldn't, with good conscience, recommend it to anyone as a permanent place to live. You will hear a lot about how central PA is more affordable than Maryland but you get what you pay for when it comes to communities. If you absolutely must live there do yourself a favor and rent first for as short a period as possible, then decide.
