WAnted house to rent
Hello,
I currently live in Brooklyn and am looking to move out of the city for a little bit of peace and quiet. I would like something that is in the country wtih a lot of peace and no neighbhoors.
Please let me know if you know of anything. THank you,
Michael

renting is such a waste of money...PA's more affordable than NY- why not look into buying something?

My husband has a contract position in the Downingtown, PA area. We are hoping to rent a studio apartment or one bedroom. I will be there part time...we plan to keep our home in North Carolina. We are mature adults, no pet, no children. Does anyone have an idea of the best place to look?

JanAngel,
Downingtown is a small town, I doubt you are going to find a very good selection. You might consider nearby West Chester which is the county seat of Chester County and has a huge transient population with the college students from West Chester University. I understand that you wouldn't want to live near the students but there will be more of a choice there. West Chester is a great larger town to live in and very close to Downingtown. I googled, "Downingtown PA, apartment rental" and came up with a few hits. When I did, "Downingtown, PA house rental", there was just one hit - a large home renting for $2500 a month. We lived just outside of Downingtown, in West Bradford township, for 4 years and attended church in West Chester. It was about 15 minute drive on the back roads. Church was located a block from down town.
