Family Moving to Clearfield Area (State College, Curwensville: apartment, rentals, house)

I am transfering with my company from Arizona to Clearfield area. Does anyone have any info on

rentals
schools
area in general (IE people, things to do, shopping etc etc).

Any info would greatly be appreciated we are mostly looking for 3 bedroom house or apartment rentals. (Later on will buy). Thank you.

Forget Clearfield. It is economically and socially depressed. Used to be a nice town but the "powers that be" prevented any new development, and most if not all of the businesses that used to be prominent there have left. Try State College. It's a different world than Clearfield with many opportunities of all kinds.

I am under the impression that Robert101 does not have a choice, mdb06. If he moves to State College, he will have to drive one hour each direction to get to work, no? Clearfield may not have as many job opportunities, but it sounds as if he already has a job; he just wants more info on recreation, etc.

I am moving my family from Queen Creek, AZ to the Clearfield area in September. We are moving there because of family in the area and I have been visiting the area since childhood. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask, and if I can't answer your question I can find out from family, most of whom live in the town of Curwensville just outside of Clearfield- good luck up there.
