I'm getting to the age where I want to leave my parents' house. I live in Millcreek, but I want to explore a different township. With the job market, how can I stay in Erie when I move while having to go anywhere else for the shortest time possible?

It would also be a good, early start to researching the other townships around the area. I liked Girard a lot, but that may be because I was raised there for the first half of my lifetime. If anyone native to the county helped, I'd dearly appreciate it.

Hmmm, why not go to college and live on campus? That way you can explore a different area, yet still get an education to allow you more job flexibilty?

Why not look at moving out of Erie County? I lived in Erie County for 36 years and decided to pick up my life and move out. I moved down to Pittsburgh, where the economy is much greater and growing all the time.

I'm at a loss to understand your question.

What does the job market have to do with deciding on a place to live? What are you looking for in a place to live? What areas have you explored already?

Live close to your job. Fortunately, since Erie is a nice, compact city, you'll never be more than 45 minutes away from where you work.
