It only lasts a few weeks in the spring. Once it mellows, farmers can plant their seeds. Manure is the cost of rural living. The smell is noticed, but it passes.

I sure wouldn't let the temporary manure smell stop me from living in the area. I live on a hay farm and my neighbor's farm has always spread manure, back when it was a dairy farm and now that it's a cattle farm. But it's not that liquid manure and up north here we don't have very many chicken farms and pig farms. That liquid manure is in a whole different league I thnk. But it wouldn't bother me, I've also been known to take hay now and then to one of the mushroom compost places in Temple, the smell doesn't faze me.

This is one of the most recent threads I could find regarding areas I'm considering. It looks like a nearby battery plant has shut down. I've "read" an extremely very few slightly negative things about Muhlenburg, but mostly seems extremely positive actually. Wyomissing seems like one of the most desirable place to live near Reading overall, but also (one of the) most expensive places to live naturally. Also, Exeter, Shillington, Douglassville, Fleetwood, Kutztown, and West Lawn sound nice.

Has anything significantly changed, or should I offer more information in terms of finding a good place for me to move to near/at Muhlenburg if I was able to get a job there?

I also like board games (mostly tabletops), anime, and video games for leisure.

Thank you.

There is a comic book store on Penn Avenue in West Reading called 1up collectibles that has a large collection of anime and I think they do games/game supplies as well. Also, the Reading Public Library at 5th and Franklin Streets has game nights I heard. If this is not quite what you're looking for, you'll be able to get information from these places at least.

Yeah, Muhlenberg Township is pretty good as a relocation option. Very middle class and lots of close-by shopping. Muhlenberg Township's library is good as well and could probably give you some information about games.

Good luck.

Good to know 1up is/has a location there. I've seen it before, at TooManyGames I think.
