Default Relocating to Malvern, PA

We are about to relocate to the US from Denmark. My company is located in Malvern, PA – and we have looked at the area, both in terms of schools and housing and find it very attractive. Our kids are to going in elementary school. Does anyone have any insights on the schools, if one is better than the other – both in terms of activities and education?

Moreover, are there any specific areas of Malvern that are better in terms of housing?

Thanks,
Claus

Malvern is a very nice suburban area, convenient to everything you could need or want. Relatively easy drive into Philadelphia for entertainment and culture.

Nice homes, in nice neighborhoods. Newer homes will be pricier than the older ones, but the area is generally well kept, so no matter what your price range is, you'll find something that you'd feel comfortable raising your family in.

The schools are excellent - DD has a friend who has two parents working in that school district. Very good education there.

Good luck with your move!

you can't go wrong with the Malvern area or really anywhere in about a 10-15 mile radius of malvern. all main line with excellent schools. My only suggestion would be to look at newtown square and havertown, schools are good but the taxes there are the best around!! Main line area can be a bit expensive for houses and taxes.

Malvern is my neck of the woods. Pickwick Rd property available now. Malvern has an old hotel which is notable as a landmark. It falls near the exits off Rt 202 at Paoli although it is just as easy to travel Rt 30 from Malvern or Frazer. It is within Proximity to West Chester, King of Prussia and "The Main Line" -- the school district which can be borne out by schoolmatters.com is great. Malvern is on high ground compared to the remainder of that area and prices had been jumping since about 1986 probably due to "Back up" Housing what you back up to based on affordability.
Culturally there is a lot to do on Rt 30 hosting many fine restaurants and not far is a Theater group that carries on some interesting shows. You are only about 35 Minutes from downtown Philly. Wayne Homes are about 389 - 479 mid point and have homes well over 2 Mill. If you would like more information please contact me. Congratulations on your assumed promotion -- you are in the right town.
