Default Whats the job situation look like in New Castle, PA?

Hi!
Just wondering how the jobs / employment looks, and also cost of housing?

We're "discussing" future possibilities, and New Castle came up as we have friends there.

Thanks!

nocheapones is on a distinguished road
What type of work would you be looking for? I'd say in general that the job situation is not very good. Housing is cheap though, just be careful - the cheapest parts of town tend to be unsafe and run-down.

New Castle constantly keeps popping up here, yet there's not much there. I don't get it. I understand friends, but some Irish guy was trying to buy a house there recently. And there have been many other threads about it. Maybe it's listed in some "Best Places" book?
