Default burlington, VT in penn

I'm a college student looking for a new school, and alot of where I went wrong last time was the area, more in terms of types of people and things to do. I would love to go to UVM or Champlian College because they are in burlington VT, and I love the feel of that town, but can't handle the cold. Anyone familiar with towns like Burlington or Northampton, MA know of any where in Penn that compares? Or anywhere south more for that matter??

We lived up in Burlington for three years and it was fantastic!!

That area is the best - I really miss it. To me, cold is cold - right now it is 14 degrees and windy here in PA, so what's the difference really?

I have three little boys and have always said that I'd love at least one of them to go to UVM - it's such a great place.

If you have the opportunity to go there (it's pretty pricey) then I would go in a heartbeat!

Best of luck!

I grew up minutes from Northampton, MA, so I think I can help. The closest thing in PA would be State College. My wife has family there and its pretty nice but it doesn't have that same funky vibe as Noho or Burlington. I live in VA and love Charlottesville, home to UVA. It's pricey but I love the area and the downtown, check it out if you get a chance.
