Thumbs up Relocating to Shippensburg Soon

I will relocating to Shippensburg from Texas sometime between June 06 ~ October 06. I will be purchasing a single family home. does anyone have any recomendations they can share with me?

One concern I have is buying a home where the basement floods during rain storms or snow melts, any recomendations so I can avoid this? Texas homes don't have basements.

thanks

Most basements have basement pumps incase of flooding, which doesnt happen in shippensburg, snow will never be a problem, except shoveling
