How is the Shale Gas Industry doing in PA? Will there be any affects from global oil price drop, or is Shale Gas still profitable and going strong despite any oil bust?

I think it's pretty much stabilized as far as the drilling, staffing, housing. Still some going on but not like before.

As for gas prices, locally we never saw any benefit from the production. It pretty much got piped away.

Just like the electricity from the wind turbines.

I have read anywhere from @ $40 - $60/ barrel, fracking becomes cost prohibitive. However, that doesn't mean that fracking would stop or even slow down in the short-run.

I was wondering the same thing, as we enter 2015. Is the fracking still going on, and is it causing serious problems in PA?
