I lived in Hanover, PA from 2002-2005 and grew up in Manchester, MD, so it's safe to say I'm pretty familiar with the area!

My grandmother lives in Lee Park, in Hanover. A lot of older homes by where she is. I think it still is a nice area.

We moved to Virginia Beach in 2005. My husband got a job here.
I loved living in Hanover. I didn't like the house we bought so much, but loved the area. The YMCA was awesome. I miss it. The Y here isn't like that at all. The VA Beach rec center is like the Y in Hanover, but the rec center here is crowded and it's way harder to get my kids into swimming classes b/c of it.
I love VA Beach, though. I still get up to MD/PA about twice a year. My parents live in Gettysburg and the rest of my family is still Carroll County and Baltimore County MD.

That's actually a different Hanover. Residents of Hanover Township, a suburb of Wilkes-Barre, refer to themselves as "Hanover" because they are lazy and don't realize that there is an actual HANOVER down near Gettysburg, which is the one being discussed here. I hear about this confusion all the time.

I was wondering why I never heard of Lee Park, although I have lived in Hanover for 14 years! lol I've been asking everyone where Lee Park is located. Thanks for posting, that's the first time I've ever heard of that area. Lisa

I am looking to relocate to Hanover, Pa
Can anyone let me know of anyone who may have any property for rent? I am having the hardest time trying to find a place to rent. I prefer a private renter vs. apartments. Thank you.
