Moving to Philadelphia (Palmyra: real estate, home, to buy)

I am planning to move to North West part of Philadelphia along with my family due to business reasons. Can somebody suggest me which area (10/15 minutes drive) should I consider for good schooling and reasonable priced real estate? Any help will be appreciated.

exactly where will you be working? Are you looking for good public schooling (k-12) or higher education schooling?

I will be working in Philadelphia zip 19124, about 10 minutes from downtown. I need to know about good public schooling (k-12). Also I am planning to buy home to permanently settle there. Somebody told me that NJ schooling is better there, which is about 15 minutes drive from there but I would like to know if there is some Philadelphia suburb in PA where schools are good and real estate prices are not much higher.

19124 looks like the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Good public schooling means that you don't want to live within the city of Philly. The only real suburban areas within 15min of 19124 are in NJ over the Betsy Ross and Tacony-Palmyra Bridges.

What is your price range for real estate. Cherry Hill, NJ has excellent schools. I'd also look at Cinnaminson and Delran which have good schools. Again, your price range will be important though.

I live in Cinnaminson and work in Holmesburg (19136) takes like 15 minutes and 2 dollars to get there.

We're really happy with the schools and the town, and the Real Estate taxes seem to be on the lower end for NJ.
