Hello All, I know that Christmas is a long way off but I am looking for things to do in Erie during the week of Christmas. It looks like anything that has to do with Christmas in Erie is the first 2 weeks in November or the week of Thanksgiving. The first few days of visiting family is fine but then we are looking for things to do.

I know how you feel ...

Skiing, sledding or tubing at Peek n Peak
Sledding at Frontier Park, Gospel Hill, etc.
Hiking at Presque Isle - it's nice in the winter because you don't have to worry about ticks, LOL
Erie Otters minor league hockey
Asbury Woods Nature Center
Erie Maritime Museum
Tom Ridge Environmental Center
Erie Art Museum
Historical buildings: Curtze mansion, Cashier's house
Railroad museum in North East
Experience Children's Museum (fun even for adults!)
Wine tasting out North East way
Chocolate tasting at Stefanelli's, Pulakos and Romolo's

Jr's Last Laugh is always good for a ... laugh.

Try some of the breweries also and I like Lavery on 12th St. Last year ice fishing was really good and busy. There were also people playing hockey and skating on Presque Isle Bay. You can rent showshoes at Asbury Woods and I think Presque Isle also rents snowshoes. If you go to the Tom Ridge Environmental Center ask to see the fish, turtles, etc. in the back and the wildlife officers will usually show you some pretty neat live fish that they are raising or rehabilitating. Definitely check out Erie Events and see what they have going on at the Erie Insurance Arena and the Warner Theater. We have been getting some better shows lately and I have been pretty impressed. I am in fact going to see Weird Al tomorrow and I have included the link below.
