I'd rather they spend $5B and pay for almost all overtime/night work. That is gonna be a nightmare to re-route during daily traffic.
According to this article

Route 422 bridge plan pleases Lower Providence residents

(caveat: the Times-Herald isn't known for its accuracy ... )

the bridge will be built separate from the current bridge, and the current bridge will be demolished. The article says it will be finished in 2017. Hahahaha.

It also says the new bridge is providing for an additional lane of traffic, so who knows?

If you've seen Super Troopers....

"I'll believe that when my poop turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet".

Caveat- I'm a Chemical Engineer- not a Civil Eng.

But-- I do work with CivE's, and I have looked at tons of CivE project plans, taxpayer town halls, etc.

there is NO WAY the Skuk River Valley Forge Bridge Project comes in under 1B if its done before 2018
--- and that's ignoring the indirect costs on traffic etc.
