Default looking for idea home Erie
Hello,

We are relocating to Erie and I am looking for the ideal home. We want something closer to the lake as our children are enrolled in private school near the lake. Any suggestions on good, older neighborhoods or areas that are being renovated? We don't want a suburb - we like city living and lots of sidewalks. Avid walkers. Thanks.

We moved to PA in Sept, we wanted to go to Erie but our real estate agent mentioned to us that buying a home in Erie, the property taxes double for the buyer...you may want to rethink your city of choice

The winters in Erie are ferocious because of the lake effect snow, likewise with summer storms, tornadoes, hail, etc.

Just thought I'd mention that since you mentioned walking. If you like variable weather it may be just the place for you though.
