Pennsylvania is unreliable. Sort of like Ohio. For a state that was essentially at the nucleus of the Rust Belt it sure acts weird. Closed steel mills and now the coal industry you'd expect nothing less than fervent anti-fed voters. But I haven't seen it. Cruz will get way too many votes in PA. I'm not sure Trump will win that state. Probably not. Mennonites and related stone agers? Union-embedded people? Hard to say exactly what. But PA is not a state Trump should depend on. He should have been spending a lot of time in that state but I don't think he has.

He kind of blew it when he came to Pittsburgh and said he was going to bring back steel and coal. Landed with a thud. That's ancient history and his people should have done a bit more research. The steel mills have been gone for decades and new trails, marinas, housing, office parks and shopping has been built where they used to stand. The consensus around here is that Pittsburgh spent 40 years to climb back from the steel collapse and is now a thriving city with a good economy based on education, medicine, finance and technology - a much more diversified economy with a highly educated workforce. Nobody wants the old days back, and it's not going to happen no matter what he says.

Current polls show Cruz third behind Kasich, he'll be lucky to get second place. Trump has quite a lead among registered voters and it expands dramatically when you narrow it to likely primary voters.

Bringing coal back to a state that currently ranks fourth for production.

That said energy and heavy industry like steel is never a bad thing.

I don't care how many iPhones are sold, you still need steel, coal and lumber. As long as they are made somewhere, why not here? Pittsburgh might be thriving but have you driven across the state? You see town after town with shuttered plants and decrepit houses...and poverty.

The thing is that even if steel "came back" to Pennsylvania, the industry would employ a fraction of the people it used to because of automation. Forget the old photos of hundreds of people on the shop floor guiding the ladle to pour, shoveling the slag, and opening and closing the hatches. it's mostly automated and controlled by a few people from above pushing buttons and sitting in an air-conditioned booth.

Smaller steel plants can be built in strategic areas around the country closer to customers and mini-mills recycle scrap to make steel at cheaper cost.

Coal is on the way out because natural gas is cheaper and cleaner.

Ok, I think I found it.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com...t-anticipated/

There is a link to a spreadsheet listing delegates and their candidate's pledge. I would not go with the so called "District Winner". I want to see names. Some actually have signed a pledge to the candidate. That's even better.

Sort column F and you'll see all the delegates who support your candidate in a group. The only thing left is to figure out your CD.

Thanks, great resource. It is sad that you have to look for this information in the deepest, darkest corner of the internet. This should be on page 1 of the Enquirer.
