In any event it's racial slur and would be no different than any other racial or ethnic slur.

And when the police crack down at Sherman Hills whoever took over for Felton will be complaining about racial profiling.

sherman hills is NOT the areas big issue--there lives the small time sellers---the buyers and enforcers of the law are the problem

as i said before---white trash "class slur" was foreign to me until i moved here--kept hearing it and had my eyes opened to a type of lifestyle depicted by those that are the objects of this label(i had never encountered the reference until i moved back here)

sadly having to live amongst those labeled as such(not by myself but by those living here all their lives),i now can understand WHY the label is used

>>>I do. I drove threw there a few years ago by accident after missing a turnoff. From my youth I remember driving through small coal towns that were run down but nearly 100% white. I was shocked to see how many Hispanics were out walking in the streets at night( what's a sidewalk?). I have no idea what the attraction is there since there are no jobs there. Just extremely cheap housing, I guess. Maybe that and meth. And that's what undoubtedly fueled the hostility. You have "invaders" speaking another language moving into a small community with a different culture, taking what few jobs there are.
But I also remember stories my dad told me about living in the area back in the 1920s and 30s. They used to have catholics fighting protestants, irish fighting polish, czechs and Ukrainians, Italians getting blamed for crime and racism against what few blacks lived there. They eventually all settled down. It might take 20, 30 or 50 years or so, but the newcomers will assimilate. But they'll also more likely get bored and move away like others have done, like I said there's not much there beyond cheap housing. That and dirt biking. And meth.
