Brookville is mainly a truckstop and fast food joint location.

However, if the weather is decent and you guys could always wander the main street, check out a couple of the small shops, and maybe pick from one of the main street eateries.

DuBois and Clarion are better choices for "easy button" first dates. Both have small malls and fairly decent places to watch a movie.

Take a hike in Cook Forest State Park (nearby), then go horseback riding at Pinecrest near Cook Forest. Other options there would be go carts, gift shops, canoeing, and mini golf.

Next, have dinner at the Gold Eagle Restaurant in Brookville, and then perhaps a cocktail at the Courthouse Tavern before calling it a night?
