City boy moving to Lebanon, PA
Hi guys, new to the forum...I'm getting a job in Lebanon, PA but don't want to live in the Amish town. Any suggestions where I should look for apartments roughly 20-40 minutes out? How about Hershey, is it too far?

I think you posted this in the wrong forum. Lebanon isn't in Northeastern PA.
Either way, if you're a city boy I would recommend the city of Lebanon actually. It's not really an Amish town anymore. Pretty diverse with a good collection of restaurants and amenities. You could also live in Harrisburg which is about a half hour away.

Lancaster and Reading would also be possibilities if you want city living, work in Lebanon, and need to be within 30 minutes. You'll be at the edge of that time range in Harrisburg, Lancaster, or Reading.
Hershey is probably about 15 minutes from Lebanon, though traffic on US 422 can be a pain.

Hershey is not too far, and you can access Lebanon via 322 which is a bit faster than 422 (fewer red lights). We lived in Hershey, and I worked in Lebanon. Hershey has a bit more to offer, and it's closer to Harrisburg for convenience. Just my opinion...good luck.

When my daughter first started teaching in Palmyra, she lived in Lebanon. After 1 year, when her lease expired, she moved out. She found an apartment complex near the medical center in Hershey and was much happier there. Her commute wasn't bad at all. She stayed there until this past summer when she and her boyfriend moved to Denver.
