Exclamation Daily commute from Collegeville/Phoenixville to Reading

Hello:

I will be moving from suburban Detroit, MI to Berks county this month. This forum has been immensely helpful in terms of good places to live in Berks country such as Wyomissing, Exeter etc. However, I need to be closer to Philadelphia due to my urban upbringing. How is the Collegeville/Phoenixville area? The one way distance to Reading is 30 miles, I was wondering how long it would take for a daily commute to Reading. How is traffic along 422 going west during rush hour and winter?

Thanks in advance.

Default You'll be fine.

In the morning if you are heading east on 422 towards philly it is a nightmare. And at the end of the day if you are are going west from philly its the same deal. I think you'll be fine, since you heading west in the morning and east at night. Good luck!

It might take you 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.
