Mechanicsburg area schools? (Camp Hill, Valley Green: school districts, camp, live)

We are focusing out search in the mechanicsburg area/ Camp Hill area. I see there are three districts Cumberland valley, West Shore and Mechicsburg. I was looking for feedback on how they compare to one another.
Is Etters PA is nice area?

West Shore and Mechanicsburg are both solid, good school districts. Cumberland Valley is in a league of its own. Excellent school district, very wide range of programs but also very large. You left out the Camp Hill school district, which serves only the borough of Camp Hill. It is another excellent school district with some of the highest test scores in the state.

One of my closest friends lives in the Etters area, very close to the Valley Green golf course. The area where he and his wife live is nice, though most definitely suburban in nature.

Cumberland Valley if you are looking for "the best" in the area. It is large but IMO that is good because it allows them to offer much more. You just have to pay attention to what is going on with your kid at school.

Im a graduate of Cumberland Valley. Went through all my years in the district. In my opinion, It is the "best" school in the central Pa. area. Granted it is a huge huge school, but it offers many opportunities. If you are looking for a school that everyone knows your name, this is not for you. Like Danwxman said previously, they are definityl in a league of their own. You can call the schools up, and they will give your tours and information on thier curriculum and so forth. hope this helps.

my kids are in CV right now, we moved here 2 years ago, I grew up in the area and went to private school, but am familiar with most of the area schools and really, any of them are good around here. I have really liked CV, my daughter is graduating from there this year, I also have a kindergartner and a 3rd grader and we have had really positive experiences.

But mech. and camp hill, they are good too, the whole area is very nice, lots to do with kids, lots of nice parks, activities, libraries, you can't go wrong!

I have lived in this area for 20 years. All three of these schools are very good in many ways.
They each have strong academics and strong sports programs.
The biggest differences would be the size of the schools.
CV is much larger, somewhere around 2600 students in grades 9-12.
Mechanicsburg probably has about half the students that CV has and Camp Hill probably has about half as many as Mechanicsburg. If you like small schools, then Camp Hill may be right for you.
