Greetings! I'm a "native" who moved away from Taylor years ago and I'm
thinking of coming back. Any one know of healthcare providers who work
with nurse practitioners? Thanks!

While I am not exactly sure where Taylor is located, nurse practitioners and physician assistants are common in the Honesdale area.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and PA in general, has the second-highest concentration of senior citizens in the nation! As such, there will always be a strong demand around here for medical professionals. I don't know if you've heard, but a new medical school is coming to Scranton and will hopefully be taking in its first class for the 2009-2010 calendar year. It is presumed that many of these young graduates will hopefully remain in the area upon graduation, some even going into private practice (which would give you even more options for employment in a few years). Also, a quick scan of the Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader classifieds, as well as the Scranton Times classifieds shows a plethora of openings for RNs, CNAs, and LPNs, all with attractive sign-on bonuses, so I'd assume your particular field of work would have similar openings. If anything, perhaps try calling some of the local hospitals in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (CMC, Moses-Taylor, Mercy, Geisinger, etc.), and inquire about the employment sector for nursing. Best of luck!

Yes, I've heard about the proposed medical school - far as I know, no ground has been broken. I am torn. Been looking at the Hill Section - it will kill me to pay so much for so little property - I am DEFINITELY land-spoiled living where I do. (((sigh)))) On a lighter note: can't wait to have my yearly fix of Salerno's white pizza......
