Someone posted a site a page or two back where you could vote for new stores, restaurant, etc. to come to MM. I know I voted for Olive Garden, among others.
I wonder what building shape a Hard Rock: Monroe Township would take on. The one in Myrtle Beach, SC is a pyramid. Maybe, because of all our firemen's carnivals around here, it could be a fire station, or a fire truck shape. That would be awesome!!
Shelldog, I hope you're very happy here. Are your kids school age yet? If so, what grades? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post publicly. Mine are in the intermediate school and high school in Selinsgrove.

I've been to a few Hard Rocks...The one in Orlando is a shape of a guitar if my memory serves me right....The one in Boston and the one in St Thomas I believe didn't have a particular shape...all were a lot of fun though. The pryamid one sounds neat.
I voted too...neat that they let us..I hope they listen to all us lil bloggers out here.
My kids go to the intermediate school too..what an awesome school....

I enjoy when new people move into the area just as long as they don't commit crimes or hurt the community. I have a hard time making quality friends with people from the area and seem to have better luck with those who move in from different places. I have difficulties meeting people through work as I have worked in structured work environments with small staffs and litte outside interactions. Being 35 sometimes seems to be hard to meet and make new friends. Most of my current friends are married and don't seem to have a large network of friends to mingle. Most of my good friends are out of state or in State College, Scranton, Allentown, and Harrisburg. I'd actually love to meet some new folks with similar interests around the Selinsgrove area
I can't see a Hard Rock Cafe coming into the area although it would be awesome. I'd love to see a quality sports oriented establishment come into MM. I love Damon's over in Lewisburg for sports viewing but don't get over there often. Would love something a little closer to home.

Has anyone ever been to a Dave And Busters? I heard they are big on sports and arcade and of course food. That would be a really neat place to have come in.

I've been to the Dave & Buster's in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. It was a great time! I've been pleading with them to come to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for ages now.

Voting
Again, if you all would like a certain store or restaurant (like hmmm lets say Olive Garden or Old Navy) be sure to vote here...

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to R.J. Macready, Dawne and others for keeping this discussion strong.

Has anyone been to Bed Bath and Beyond yet? I've never been to one and am wondering if it's mostly linens and hard items, or do they have lots of soaps, shampoos, etc. (like Bath and Body Works in the mall). The reason I ask is that Bath and Body Works makes my husband and son's noses plug up and it gives me a headache sometimes. I think I must have a slight perfume allergy.
I need to find some sheets that will stay on our pillow-top mattress that we got a year or so ago. The ones we have now pop off. They're old sheets from back before mattresses were so thick. Hopefully BB&B will have some, but I wanted to beware of smelly allergy areas before going in.
On another note, we hope to get to Red Robin tomorrow or Thursday. We signed up online and got a $3 off coupon to use by 10/23. We're all looking forward to our third visit!

I have been to a BBB many times...The store is like Linens and Things if you have ever been there...it's not like Bath and Body Works. They carry a lot of home stuff so I think that your family will be fine to go there ...no allergy issues...You prob can get a better deal in Kohl's though on the sheets...so you might want to check out both places.
