There is a fenced-in area behind the bank and gas station that was supposed to be a Logan's Roadhouse but maybe that has changed. Of course, Bechtel's in Lewisburg was rumored to become an Olive Garden but that fell through and now it'll be another pharmacy (Rite-Aid, I think) so I'm not holding my breath on an Olive Garden in MM anytime soon either. Although I hope it's true.

I believe Michael's is now open, with their official grand opening celebrations to take place over the next two weekends. We got a postcard in the mail with 50% off one item coupon, but I passed it along to someone who would have more use for it. I'll go after all the hubbub dies down a bit!

It could be, or it could be that whoever owns the property now, which Starbucks leases, wants to sell the property but the Starbucks lease will continue (for ten years, as it seems to state).

I think Wal-Mart often does this. They'll buy land and build a building, then sell the property and lease it for the business. I guess it's better financially for a company to lease than to own.

The money games are beyond my comprehension, but that's how someone explained it to me once.

We went to Red Robin again the other night. Took my son's girlfriend and she had the Teriyaki chicken burger. It was so good I thought we'd have to scrape her off the floor after she melted from sheer pleasure. And she's a chicken expert if ever there was one.

I haven't been to Michael's yet. I've never been in a Michael's in my life so I have no basis for comparison, but I've heard several people say ours doesn't measure up to the one in Harrisburg. Any other opinions?

I've also heard that Kohl's is strugging to pay their rent. I've only been in there twice and only bought a necktie for my son. I actually find myself at Monroe Marketplace much less than I thought I would be there.

The Michaels in Camp Hill is much nicer. i was in the new Michaels when it first opened, and i was not to impressed, they seemed to be really high priced with certain things. I'm not to impressed with the new Kohl's either, I was in there before Christmas, and was looking at the womens department, they have next to nothing in it, I made this remark to a friend that was with me, and a sales assistant heard me, and said she has heard that complaint from different customers. Now, if only Olive Garden would come to Monroe Marketplace!

Just seen today that the old Golden Corral was sold. Seen people out front on Tuesday looking at the property. Not sure who would pay 1.2 million for the property. Hope its something good. Also, the old key maker property across sheets was sold. Not sure what would fit in that property. Its zoned commercial. Also, behind applebees in the mall parking lot there is construction going on, they are building something there. At the mall website for leasing it looks like a lot of parking spaces for this building. Here is the website: http://www.preit.com/download/leasin...easeplan/1.pdf

The last thing that I heard is the Olive garden is looking at the parking situation at the location across from the new Susquehanna Bank, tha property has survey markers already in the ground.

If I hear any other tid bits about the selinsgrove area, I'll post as I hear about them. Hope others can contribute.
