Default Upcoming Visit to York, PA

I am looking at possible move to York, PA. reading some articles about racism in York, PA scares me. But I am still going ahead with my planned 1-2 day exploratory visit to York.

I have elem school going kids and good school district is very important. Could some one advise me nice areas to drive around. Any suggestions for newer subdivisions around York (in good school district) House Price range between 200-300K

Thanks in advance

Suburban, Central, Dallastown, and Red Lion schools, in that order. Newest developments will be in Dallastown and Red Lion school districts. You'll find housing in your range in all of them, Suburban homes are a little older than new, although you'll find some lovely neighborhoods with charming, well kept homes in your range. Central is a huge district and covers a large area. Homes in this area are both older/newer. Best bet is to get to the visitor's center at Harley Davidson and get the relocation packet. Or contact the newspaper for their relocation packet.

I recall a good amount of newer homes west of I-83 in the Church Road vicinity that very nice, I'm not sure about the prices since I am not in the market.

In that price range there are tons of homes in that range and with the way the market is here you can get a home well below market value with loads of room for equity. There are tons of new bulding incentives and the interest rates are going to hit rock bottom over the next few weeks. There are very good schools here especially in your price range!!!

Thanks to all of you for responding to my question.

Could you suggest a few subdivisions I could drive around which fall under Suburban, Dallastown and Red Lion school district.

I saw some listings for new houses on Primrose Drive (or Lane) in York. How is that area ? How is the school district of that area ?

Once again, thanks to all of you for sharing information.

currently I see there are 3 homes for sale on primrose I would suggest using an agent to help you with the process since there is so much inventory we can narrow down your search and use our system to help you. Under law im not legally able to tell you what school districts are "good" or "bad" but if you would like to contact me I can help you (its free)
