Hello all,

Maybe i didn't do enough research or just couldn't find it anywhere on DMV website, but I have a question that maybe someone might know. I just moved from Las Vegas back to Pennsylvania. I moved from PA to there and so I already once did have a valid PA license. Do I need to go through all the "hoopla" to obtain another PA license or can it be streamlined quicker because I was already once a PA resident with a valid drivers license before?

I unfortunately lost both my BC and Social Security Card and I know these items are vital in obtaining a PA license if you're a new resident.... so I'm hoping that since I was once a resident and I'm simply moving back that I can get away with not needing these items at this time.

So if anyone may possibly know an answer, that would be awesome! I don't want to waste my time driving to DMV only to be turned away... especially since i don't have the above items readily available.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

The info you need is here:

Info For New Residents

If you have a Nevada license you don't need to retest. Otherwise you'll need to start from scratch and no matter what the case you will need the proper documentation.

There is no way of getting around the requirement that you prove US citizenship or permanent residence.

You can order an official birth certificate online. You will need to supply personal and family information.

Certificates

You will also need an SS replacement card and you'll need a current driver's license and birth certificate for that, too. So be sure to order at least 2 certified copies of your birth certificate. You'll also need a utility bill to show that you have a PA address.

Don't you have a passport?

I do but not currently with me. When my ex-wife moved and took her documentation my passport was in it with her stuff. Been trying for months for her to send it to me and she keeps "forgetting". Frustrating nonetheless.

I've already began the process to obtain my other documents.
