Hello, my husband may be relocating to Philadelphia and we wanted to do some research on houses and schools. We have young children, he would have to commute to downtown Philly and I will be looking for work. can anyone suggests where we should start to look.

Depends on how much house you need/how much you want to spend/how close to the city you want to be...

Springfield and Havertown, Del Cty are close, safe, good schools, affordable
Media/Swarthmore/Bethel - better schools, more expensive, further from city
West Chester/Malvern/Berwyn/Paoli/Wayne/Exton - better schools, even further out, same prices and more land...

Tredyffrin has the best schools but also very expensive
Same with Radnor and Lower Merion

Then Great Valley, West Chester, Downingtown, Swarthmore, Media, Havertown, Garnet Valley, all more reasonable...
