Question Japanese in King of Prussia?

I just returned from the King of Prussia mall where I noticed many Japanese people. From one section of the mall to the other, in stores, in the restaurant where we ate lunch.

I hadn't noticed this the last time I was there, which was Summer '07.

Did a Japanese company open a branch or something? Is there a giant convention? I found it very interesting, and enjoyed the global appeal of it.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

There's a chance they could have been tourists passing through while visiting the city (I recently read how international tourism is on the rise in Philly) -- but generally speaking, suburban areas like King of Prussia are becoming pretty diverse.

What a coincidence. I just returned from the King of Japan mall, where I noticed a bunch of Prussian people.

Great observation on the type of shoppers in the K of P Mall and Plaza. Considering when a tourist can get more for their Yen, in the U.S. they buy - like there's no tomorrow. Considering a set of new golf clubs cost $5,000 (US) in Japan - I'd buy every club I could find in the U.S. and ship them back to Fugiville and sell them there.

Most likely tourists... while the Philly suburbs do have a growing Asian population, it's mostly Korean and Chinese.
