As a resident of the Pocono area, I just thought I'd like to enlighten everyone about a wonderful event that Wayne Meyers, a forum member, just helped to initiate this Holiday season. It's a wonderful way for thousands of people with very little time to spend on community service projects to give back to the area that has embraced them and welcomed them as new residents. Way to go Wayne!

Commuters who travel from the Poconos to New York City everyday are getting the holiday spirit by helping their neighbors in Monroe County. A bus company and a non-profit organization are helping with the Commuter Coat Drive.

Did anyone else notice this little "fumble" on behalf of WNEP-TV? The reporter talks about today's warmth while the leader of the local United Way organization refers to the same weather as "very cold!" Considering high temperatures today nudged around 28 degrees, I don't understand what they meant by "warm day like today!" LOL!

Well since our wind chill temperature last night was -7 I guess that makes 28 degrees warm where I live. It's all relative I guess. I've heard about the coat drive and think it is a great idea.
