Default Vacation home near Hershey?

My husband and I are looking into buying a vacation home in the Hershey area. We visited The Preserve at Bow Creek in Palmyra and really liked it. We have 2 kids and being close to Hershey is important to us. Are there any other new home/townhome developments in the Hershey area we should take a look at? Anyone know anything about Palmyra as far as it being a safe area, or good choice to be if we want to be close to Hershey. Is there a better town near Hershey we should be looking at?
Thanks for any help you can offer!

You may want to consider Hummelstown. It's several miles away. It's a picturesque town dating back to the 1700's.

My daughter teaches high school in Palmyra, but lives in Hershey. I think Palmyra might cost a little less than Hershey, but thats changing pretty quickly. There a lot of building going on in Palmyra. We've always enjoyed our visits in that area. Another town to consider is Elizabethtown, its also pretty close to Hershey. My wife grew up there, and we've spent lots and lots of time there visiting family.
