Proof of Sales Tax Paid on Motor Vehicle?
I know this is a far reach, but does anyone know how to go about proving Sales Tax Paid on a vehicle?
I had an out of state title when I moved to PA in 2004. My vehicle has been titled & registered in PA since that time.
In trying to get a lienholder removed from my title, I'm being told I need to have proof I paid the tax or have to pay it.
I have no paperwork that I can find and the check to cover this would not have been from my account (it would have been from a lienholder)
I'm not sure if I should contact the DMV or go straight to the Dept. of Revenue.
Any advice?
