Default yardley...not rural

just wanted to comment...Yardley is not rural at all. While it is much, much smaller than Doylestown one cannot consider it rural. Yardley itself is 'so quaint it hurts'- a quote from Philadelphia magazine.

We're (I live in Yardley) convenient to everything you need, except Trader Joes, where you must travel about 40 minutes to reach one!
There are tons of rental opportunities in Yardley, from condos to houses, and the downside of Yardley is that it's main street is loaded with Realtors so you won't have any trouble finding one.

Good luck and feel free to PM me if you want more info, I'm a 'native!'

Default Bucks County

My family and I have been living in Doylestown (CB School District) and although it is very nice here, it is hard to find a single family home for under $400,000. Warrington and Warminster are priced a little bit lower, but they aren't as charming. Doylestown and Newtown are very historic if that is what you are looking for. Central Bucks and Council Rock are great school districts. The teachers are very good (most are required to have their Masters degree).

The suburbs of this area do have some noticeable drug problems. Teenagers loiter around the downtown area and are a constant problem. I think the problem is being addressed but it is scarey all the same.

Is it worth it, you ask? I grew up here and now I am raising my family here. I find it to be safe, lots of recreation for kids, artsy connections, and good schools. Over priced? Definately.

Good luck!
