Default Is Downingtown a nice place to raise a family?

My huband has a chance to take a position in Exton, PA. I have 2 kids in kindergarten and first grade and would be looking for a good school system in a family-friendly town. We currently live in CT. Any ideas for this town or towns nearby????

Thats a great area. Exton is a beautiful area with tons of newer amenities. The town of Downingtown itself is older, smaller but in good shape. The surrounding area is a great place to raise a family. West Chester which has an amazing little downtown area is only 15 minutes away and then you have King of Prussia, Valley Forge and the Main Line right there also.

I would hve no reservations about moving to the Exton/Downingtown area

I would suggest the West Chester/Westtown/Goshen/Malvern areas moreso than Downingtown. Downingtown is a bit more rural, a couple years behind the other towns that I mentioned. Downingtown/Exton is great, theres nothing not to like but check out the West Chester as well.
