Default Best area in Philly suburbs?

We may be relocating for job purposes in January/February. The job will be in Levittown area but it appears from everything I've read on this and other forums that we don't want to live in that area. We don't mind a 30-45 minute drive and would also like to be not too far from the Lehigh Valley as we have family and friends there. Our son has only 1-1/2 years of school left so we'd like him to be in a good school system since these years are so important for college. I would love and appreciate your help. Thanks!

In that area of Bucks, the best schools are (or were? I think they still are... ) in the Pennsbury and Council Rock Districts. Yardley (which is in Pennsbury) is nice, as is Newtown (which is in Council Rock). From either of these places I think you'd have about a 90min drive to the Lehigh Valley... I think Langhorne is a nice area, though I don't know much about it (it's in the Neshaminy School District). New Hope is a really nice area too... that's in the New Hope-Solebury District (I don't know anything about that district). I guess I'm not offering a lot of info; I grew up in Yardley and am really only familiar with the areas I frequented... Sorry if I'm no help!

Thanks, I appreciate your info and you have helped me. We were also looking into maybe the Doylestown or Warrington areas. It looks like both might only be 40 minutes from Levittown and 45 or so from the Lehigh Valley.

Hi again, glad I was a little bit of help. I don't know anything about Warrington but Doylestown is very nice, the downtown area especially. Good luck with your move!
