Well I'm from the Philly area which has more money than the rest of the state.

We got brand new fields in the township and at local high schools and all over the place. There are indoor soccer clubs and gyms, ice rinks what not. Any area that has more money is going to have nicer stuff. It's not the state.

PA is a decent state. Its just like saying you think Wisconsin is a great state etc.

No Wisconsin is a garbage state outside of the outdoors and the Madison and Milwaukee areas.

Any place with jobs, opportunity, and money is a good area. When it is isn't overpriced its an especially good area.

This year PA is depressing and great all in one due to the crazy weather. I'm from Central PA and the past few days have been in the 40s and 50s. I've lived here my whole life and never have seen temps like this. A little scary! We have flowers on the back side of our house blooming and the fruit farms are scared that the trees will start blooming and won't bloom again after they freeze. We are kinda missing the snow around here, taking the kids out sledding is what living in PA is all about. Oh well, I'm sure the snow will fly soon.
Cheers

What cities in america DONT have decay! its because of urban sprawl! the decayed areas will eventually be recycled.

cities arent geocentric like they used to be, thats why many cities (big and small) are trying very hard to pull people back in. Its cyclical, the majority of pittsburgh is starting to be renovated.... give it time

Yup. And if you want to really see "depressing", browse around on that link a bit and check out places like Camden, New Jersey and Gary, Indiana. They make the worst slums in Pittsburgh look like Disneyworld.

I was really excited about moving to Pa until I read this forum...lol.I am living in Sc and I am tired of the weather and everything else about this state. My husband already has a job in Erie so thats why we are goning to move up that way.Hopefully the people aren't as rude as it seems. We have 3 small children and are looking for friendly people. And the schools CAN NOT be worse than Sc.I think we rank 49th in the US. So maybe there will be improvement there.

You live in South Carolina and are tired about the weather? It get's a lot colder in PA with more snow then in SC, you are aware of that? If your moving to Erie, be prepared for the Lake Effect Storms.

You don't think they have crime in other cities? Philly is a typical big city....nice downtown, some historic upper-class neighborhoods, and still about 80% of the city is ghetto. Philly suburbs are nice. That is really no different from any other comparable city.
