Default For NW PA residents / expats- WEATHER?

I've lived here for almost a year now and it seems that NOBODY likes the weather up here. Heaven knows, I don't... but this is really not about my opinion.

Please vote in the poll ONLY if you either live within about 100 miles of Erie, or if you ever have. I want to see how RESIDENTS feel about the weather up here. I'm keeping the poll options simple, so understand that I ask about ALL of the weather conditions. (I don't call it "liking the weather" if your opinion is similar to that of a guy I talked with last weekend, who said "The weather up here would be great if it wasn't for the winter!" Well, the winter is at least 6 months out of the year here, buster....!!)

I do miss the snow sometimes. I'd gladly take a little more snow instead of the 40 degree drizzle nonsense all winter long coupled with a few snowfalls. I also miss being around people who take winter in stride -- who embrace it, even, with skis, snowmobiles (an endangered species with gas prices the way they are?), snowshoes and ice fishing poles.

The long, warm autumns along Lake Erie are the among the most beautiful you can find anywhere.

The biggest complaint I have about Erie's weather is that, come March, it seems like winter will never end. And just when you think it will -- pow!

Friendly aside to NWPAguy: FYI, the weather 100 miles south -- even 50 miles south -- cannot be compared to the weather along the lake. Even 10 or 15 miles south of the lake can make a difference during some parts of each season (hence the term "lake-effect snow" or the weather reports that make exceptions for "south of I-90.").
