its not like he asked SS pitt vs renovo...where the words stay away might be used for one.

WE are allowed to tell the truth yanno.

The OP was clear with what he wanted. The issue is "snowflake", ie, someone who is too fragile to handle bad news or political opposition. That is a word you used to describe the people he wants to get away from "mask wearers, OMG, I can't handle it!". If someone wants to ask where in PA would Randy Weaver fit in, fine, but make no mistake, you guys are the snowflakes here. As pointed out by others here, your views on PA are not universally agreed on, in fact, many times its the opposite.

In short, if Meadville is too liberal, then maybe Pennsylvania isn't a good fit.

to the op, THIS is generally all you will ever have to put up with, but only when they are anonymous. It is NEVER this way in person.

Are you really going to tell me with a straight face that minorities have been openly and warmly embraced in Hanover and many other small towns like it throughout central PA?

Bedford’s population is under 3k and declining by the day, so I highly doubt it draws many newcomers.

well in all fairness, you said the heart of south central pa. since state college is the EXACT center of PA, I just went south. bedford would be the heart of that.

and will I tell you minorities are welcomed in small town pa? yup. because those of us in small town PA dont buy into the hatred pushed in the media. people in small town PA, generally do not have the time for silly sh...stuff.

however the incident occurred 31 years ago, and was by all accounts - started by the pagans. a sweet biker club not known for helping old ladies across the street. since we were not there, we dont know much beyond the narrative, but I found it funny that each day the 'unrest' occurred, everyone went away at curfew as reported. So this SAYs riot, but reads as kitten fight. I contrast to the riots of 2020 where they actually shoot, beat and bludgeon people and burn down the police station - with cops in it.

if we want to read about racial unrest in pa - or any other state - then just google it. 1917 philly, 1968 philly and pitt (MLK murder) 1969 klan based riot in york. I am sure you are going to find modern examples, but in philly, in pitt. and in lancaster, hellfire, they have the amish mafia to keep calm

but anyway we slice it, the town with the most danger of all types by far is philly and the most danger by per capita is mckeesport, neither are rural small town PA.

The klan had a group based in york since the 1920s. that has been WELL known for a hundred years. we studied it in school. around the time I was in college I was dating a girl from dillsburg (ended up marrying her) who pointed out the hanover klan moved to in and around dillsburg. aint really followed them since cuz I thot we got rid of all them. The good people of pa tend to take care of the problem on our own. Do groups like that hold rallies at state and national parks usa wide? yep. and they have little bearing on the towns folk. pa chapter prez of the pagans lives a few miles from here - well sorta - he is in jail and no one runs drugs, prostitutes or guns.

btw, bedford has a population of under 3000 yes, but it has 42000 vehicles pass thru it each day due to its turnpike exit and interchange between routes I70, I76, I99, US 220 and US30. Even if we ignore the tourist attractions it has and is gateway to, that is still a lot.

Retire, he's of Asian Indian descent and likes to wear makeup. I'm worried that someone in rural PA is going to beat the snot out of him.

There is only one party that has called a cop killing riot "legitimate political discourse". Want to guess which one that is?

Yeah, I called you out on your ridiculous hypocrisy. By all means, if you don't want to be questioned on your stupid comments, move elsewhere. Like i said before, if you want a place totally lacking in political diversity, there is no where in PA that actually works. Even in the reddest of places, your governor and 1 Senator are as liberal as they come. There is also a 50/50 chance it will be 2 super liberal senators.

And again, if Meadville is too much too handle, well, stop being a snowflake. Its actually kind of pathetic. Maybe RetireinPA, despite his super hip handle, isn't the only source of information on PA.

Some conspiracy nuts are still accusing J6 attendees of witchcraft, casting a spell which made officer Brian Sicknick have an aneurysm 8 hours after the riot ended. Sad he is still being used as a prop for political purposes.
