Gettysburg / Adams County
Does anyone know what the market is like in Gettysburg and surrounding Adams County for the building trades? I'm thinking of moving there and I am a professional contractor, cabinetmaker and finish carpenter.

Right now its not good.....I have a friend who is a does general contracting on his own and he is currently seeking employment with another company...My Husband is an Electrician and for the last few months they have had no work..hes been tearing down old buildings on his bosses property to avoid having to go for unemployment comp.
We are now in the process of selling everything we own and getting the hell out of Adams county before we lose everything!
Im not trying to scare you but Adams county economy is not the greatest, never really has been...

I visited Hanover last week keeping in touch with relatives and I must agree, Hanover is growing fast. New homes, new business's. To me, that seems to be the area if you want to look for work.

yes, but make sure you live in Adams county. The taxes are way lower!! York County taxes are INSANE.
