Default rural PA & mild winters

Are there any areas in PA that are rural, 100+ acre ranches, slow paced living, but with real mild winters? We want to get away from the cold, bitter, snowy winters. We're in Jersey now & want to move.

not milder than jersey, but the best areas in pa for winters are southeastern pa. you're not going to find 100+ acres there though. Go in more to southcentral around york, even over to carlisle and chambersburg you can find land and not too bad winters

Having lived in both states...........Both are quite equal in winter weather.
You probably will not get rid of the cold, bitter, snowy weather.
You'd have to head a bit more south for that. Actually, quite south

Kind of a funny question, isn't it? Why would you think that winters would be that much different in PA? Here's an interesting website where you can quickly click on different cities and see the avg. temp. I would also suggest that the direction you need to go for warmth is much more SOUTH, then West.
