Tell Me about Belle Vernon Pa (Pittsburgh, West Mifflin: rental, house, to live)

Tell me about Belle Vernon Pa.

What county is that in. Westmoreland or Washington county. Many of my friends are there, I know many are deaf which I am too. From what I hear it is cheaper to live there as well.

Right now we live in Weirton Wv, we work in Greentree(pgh area), we don't mind the drive to and from work. We don't mind paying just a bit more for gas and saving on rental for a house or so.

I was just there few wks ago, I did not see much cause we were going to a friend's place for bonfire. But I saw nice shopping, just 30 mins to Century Three Mall and all. My parents are from Lincoln Place which is just the border of West Mifflin so it is not far from our family as well.

WE are looking into renting a house more than an apt. But if we have to deal with an apt then so be it. But we want to rent.

Well, the town of Belle Vernon is actually in Fayette County, however the area that goes by the Belle Vernon post office mailing address is larger and it includes Rostraver Twp. Westomoreland County.

I have family that lives in Rostraver Twp. off of PA Route 51. They work in Oakland and it takes them about 1 1/2 hrs to get to work during peak driving times.

It has a good bit of shopping to choose from and restaurants. And, if you can't find it there, it is pretty well located to the Pittsburgh suburbs/south side shopping, also not far from Greensburg and all the shopping on Rte. 30.

Thank you for a quick reply also inputs too.

I searched and realized that Belle Vernon is stuck between all three counties of Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties. lol which is nice so you have more choices to do things.

Also it is not far from the Laurel Caverns that my hubby liked to go to when he was younger too.

I may have to do the old fashion way of driving around to find a place. But also I have friends who can keep their eyes open there. My one friend lives just below Belle Vernon in Fayette county, my best friend lives in Monongahela just 15 mins from Belle Vernon.
