I apologize for post #39! I didn't realize I even wrote the post until I received an email notice that a new post was added to the thread. Earlier today, I spilled some tea on my keyboard. I picked up the keyboard and turned it upside down and gently tapped it on my desk to drain the excess liguid. Apparently, post # 39 is the un-intended outcome of that action. When I first saw it almost 6 hours later, my first response was What the heck...how did that get there, then I broke into laughter when it dawned on me what happened. I'm hoping it stirs some additional laughter. Just wanted to let you all know how it came into existence.

azara is on a distinguished road
Do NOT...and I cannot express this enough....move to Lebanon. Ecspeciallly if you have kids. It is not a nice place to live. Ecspecially if you have a kid going to the school district.
There is a lot of bullying. And I do mean alot. If you have a child going to school in the Lebanon school district who is white (and I don't mean to sound racist here, but this is the way it was for my kid) and if they don't have any siblings to watch over them....they could really get singled out. There are many puerto riccaan kids in the Lebanon school district and if you don't fit in with them, it really could be a very bad experience for the kid.
The school district does not deal with it very well. I find that they turn a blind eye to it. Their policy is to tell the teacher. My child once did tell a teacher and became ignored. They never acknowledged it. If the child does tell the teacher, they get it that much harder by the other kids.
I find the school district itself has policies that border the term "bullying". It is more of a dictatorship toward the parent and family.
The city of Lebanon school system is worse by far from the south side, Cedar Crest...however...I left that school on a bad note as well.
My now teen, has been out of the school district for this past year in a cyber school...something I was totally intimidated about at first. Even though he has been out for this long, I still have the anger inside of what I dealt with with the Lebanon School District when the topic comes up.
The cyber school is a good options for anyone finding themself in this particular school district. Although my teen does not do well acadmically, it is his own doing. However, I think most kids would do very well with cyber school. My son does not because he is a person who simply does not want to do school and will go through great lengths to avoid it. School is not for him.
My son was somebody who was in trouble a lot in school. He was on anti-depressants, and other medicines. He was a very depressed person. When I took him out of the Lebanon school district, he was VERY changed mentally. He is actually very pleasant to live with, including a very enjoyable personality. Something that was not seen due to his depression and anxieties within that school district. He is no longer on any medicine....it is the best I've ever seen my teen. Instant transformation.
So I cannot express enough....avoid, at all costs...Lebanon School Districts!
