Coles Hardward in Danville, Northumberland and Selinsgrove are now selling "envi[ronmental] bricks" at a great price of $4.99/6 pack. They are usually sold by palets of a ton averaging $1/brick [3" x 8"] Since I wasted hundreds of dollars in delivery fees from a company hours away, I found this out by complaining to the company which bought out bio bricks and moved it's operation to Selinsgrove, PA but had no local distributors. Apparently Cole's Hardware stepped up to the plate and now carries them. I love bio bricks, they're clean and last a long time. You have to start them with a fire starter or kindling on a small amount of wood, similar to coal, but once they get going, they're wonderful. They're shrink wrapped, have a very hot blue flame, and have very little residue, we've used our wood burning insert more this year since we had it installed 15 years a go. Handling chopped wood is a hassle [mold, wet, bugs, cocoons, have to go outside, etc] and these can be neatly stacked in our garage in a fairly condensed way.
