Smile Planning a move from VA to PA

My husband grew up in West Milton. We were up there for 9 days last month visiting and driving around checking out some of the different areas: West Milton, Milton, Selinsgrove, New Columbia, White Deer, Watsontown. All of these places seem to have some nice looking areas and some run down looking ones. I've been doing some research online for a while now about the housing, schools, crime etc in these areas and others. I read the local papers online on an almost daily basis. I really would like to get some input from people that live in these areas.
My husbands family wasn't much help. Most are older, set in their ways... they talked about how many of these areas are run down, full of crime, drugs, traffic and so on. The crime you have up there is nothing compared to Virginia Beach or the cities around us!

Watsontown is having a terrible time right now with petty crimes - car break-ins, etc. The police are on the ball and working hard to solve these issues.

Of the places you mentioned, I would choose Selinsgrove (no surprise there given my signature line). I would also check into Lewisburg if you want to be closer to family in West Milton.
